Gitzo GT2531 Carbon Fiber Tripod (with Extras)

  

This item is a Gitzo GT2531 Series 2 6X Carbon Fiber 3-section Tripod. The legs are carbon fiber and the head assembly is magnesium for light weight. The tripod has three leg sections. Leg sections lock with twist locks (Gitzo G-Lock). This tripod has a flat plate head with 3/8" screw that is reversible to 1/4" screw.

It includes both a short center column (about 220mm long) and a long center column (about 310mm long). It can also be configured for low ground-level photos by removing the column and just installing the flat plate head. A column-mounted level is also included.

Two sets of hardware for the columns are included. The legs have rubber feet that can be removed to expose metal spikes for stability on hard surfaces. There are two extra regular rubber feet and two extra spike feet. There is also two sets of large rubber feet that can go over the spikes as well. A hex wrench for swapping the mounting screw for a tripod head is included. Note that this does NOT include a ball or pan head.

Overall weight is about 3.5 lbs. Load capacity is 26.46 lbs / 12 kg. The maximum height with the longer center column is 63.39/161cm.

The maximum height with the center column down is 54.33/138cm. With the center column removed and the tripod legs at their widest position, the minimum height is 6.69/17cm. The folded length is 25.59/65cm.
