One Carbon Fibre and Magnesium Tripod. The 440 series was Manfrotto's first set of carbon fibre and magnesium tripods, hence the label Carbon No. The 440 tripod has four leg sections and a carbon fibre centre column that can be positioned horizontally or inverted. The leg angles are variable and there is a low level adapter that can be used without the centre column for even lighter weight and for low level shooting. I have thoroughly cleaned the tripod including inspecting the inside of the leg tubes, where I have replaced a couple of the end stops that were cracked.

I have lubricated the leg hinges and locks, then refreshed the paintwork by giving it all a protective silicone polish. This tripod is in excellent condition and comes with a Manfrotto single-point shoulder strap. Sale of this tripod helps support the RNLI Lifeboats and Lifeguards service.
