Novo Helix T50 Carbon Fibre Tripod Kit + Ballhead with Friction Control. The NOVO HELIX T50 is a professional carbon fibre travel tripod, with ball head, manufactured from a class leading "Superweave" 10x layer carbon fibre for strength, durability and stability. The main leg locks and top spider sections are made of superior quality, aviation grade aluminium, with black / graphite hard anodised finish offering robustness and low weight.

Reversing the legs 180° gives a smaller carrying profile, and a small folded length of 355m. Ideal for travel the T50 strikes a great balance between compactness and strength when used with heavier equipment. Maximum height 1400mm with centre column extended, 1105mm without the column down, and payload of up to 20kg, 8kg with supplied BHP-32 head. Weight including head is 1.84kg and supplied with a padded carry case. The NOVO HELIX T50 features five sections, adjustable angles of 23, 50 and 85 degrees.

The centre column features two sections to reduce the folded length, and maximise height whilst in use. An included short centre column enables low level shooting for macro and ground photography. The T50 also features the ability to reverse the centre column, allowing the camera to mount between the legs if required. This may be useful for copy work.

Special features of the Novo the HELIX T50 Professional Tripod include the conversion to a monopod. One leg is detachable and can attach to the centre column for the additional functionality of a monopod with maximum height of approximately 1330mm, or 1430mm with BHP-32 ball head. With the T50 kit (with supplied head) means you will automatically have a monopod with ball head, or other standard heads or camera gear can be attached via the standard 3/8" and 1/4" reversible screw thread if required. The leg locks use a fast twist locking / unlocking system.

The legs feature new one-piece leg captured shims, developed for making cleaning and maintenance easier whilst avoiding accidental loss or damage to the shims. A detachable hook on the base of the centre column for attaching a weight (such as a bag) for added stability, such as in breezy / windy conditions. Screw off rubber feet give you access to metal spikes on all legs for use on soft ground. The Novo BHP-32 drag / friction controlled ball head included in this kit is a beautifully and classically crafted ball head made from a lightweight aviation grade quality anodised aluminium in a distinctive two tone black and silver finish.

The BHP-32 comes with 50mm Arca-Swiss compatible plate with rubberised base for added grip. The 32mm ball has been anodised for smooth control of the head, minimising juddering. Control is via a large lock knob with separate tension / drag control in the centre. The Arca-Swiss compatible quick release system plate has a safety lock and has a load bearing of 8kg and weighs 385g.

The ball mechanism on the Novo BHP-32 offers a smooth, precise and effortless locking system. A silky smooth panoramic control at the base of the head is independent to the main ball lock. The panoramic control includes graticule markings with a secondary pano adjustment on the camera mounting which is very useful for night sky or macro photography. The drag control allows users to set the drag independently, so whether the ballhead main control is loosened or tightened user can always have some tension on the ballhead at all times, allowing greater control of the camera equipment particularly when loosening and repositioning the head.
