This is my Indoor fully professional tripod, massive but light Carbonfibre legs, fitted with a top-of-the-range FLM centre ball head 58. Here are the official words. The TrioPod C2830 is a very versatile modular carbon fibre camera tripod, with 3-section legs. The legs screw into the TrioPod base, so it can be used as a conventional tripod or converted to a robust and strong table-top support using MINI legs. The compact size of the central base also enables the legs to fold parallel to give the tripod minimal closed bulk.

Each leg screws firmly in place so there is no play between the top of the leg and the base, and can be set at 4 different angles. A carrying bag is also included. Precision engineered in Germany, the CB58FTR is an extremely strong ball head without the usual weight penalty.

As well as friction control and panoramic revolving base it also has the unique FLM Tilt function. The Tilt function allows the ball to be locked in a single plane of movement. For example, by placing the neck of ball in the side slot and then locking the tilt control, the camera can be moved in a precise 90° arc from landscape to portrait position each time. A large and easy to grasp locking knob has a concentric black friction control ring which allows exactly the right amount of drag to be set relative to the load. The panoramic base has 360° markings and a PRS locking knob which allows free rotation or indents at 15° increments. FLM and other makers' quick release adaptors with a 3/8 socket can also be attached to the screw using threadlock adhesive.
